What to bring..

Bring your normal painting kit.

For those coming on Tuesday afternoon don’t forget to bring a couple of photographs that interest you. We will use these images to plan and paint from, so make certain they are not too small; the more you can see the easier it is to paint.

book of the week

My choice this week is another Norman Battershill; ‘Painting and Drawing Water.’ Living as we do so near to the sea and the many moorland rivers and streams it’s likely to figure in our paintings and drawings at some stage. Once again Mr. Battershill provides us with a wealth of tips and techniques from quiet moorings to raging torrents. Published first in 1984 the advice offered then is just as valuable today.
