Siân’s inspiration for her Sketching Mitts comes initially from the gorgeous textures and colours of yarns… painting with wool! As an experienced knitter and as an artist herself her designs always keep in mind the practical attributes of the different styles she creates. Sian’s yarns are chosen with eco-friendliness very much in mind. Many of Siân’s fingerless gloves start with a delve through her stash of oddments left over from previous knitting projects, combining colours and textures into charming designs that evolve as she knits. Each delightful pair is genuinely unique!

SIZE The mittens are designed to fit an average ladies hand. Knitted fabrics are both snug and stretchy in nature, easily adapting to a variety of hand shapes and sizes, providing a comfortable and snug fit for everyone.

YARN These mitts were made using a very soft chunky weight yarn with a luxurious feel. They are flexible enough to scrunch up to wear as a wrist warmer, and stretchy enough to use as a fingerless mitten.

COLOUR The colour is a rich mix of bright blues and turquoise, with hints of sea green. There is a gentle change of colour change along the length of the yarn, creating alluring and unpredictable stripes. No two stripes will ever be the same, ensuring each mitten is truly unique. CARE INSTRUCTIONS Treat as pure wool. Gently hand wash in cool water. Do not wring. Re-shape while damp. Dry flat. Do not tumble dry.
