Siân’s inspiration for her Sketching Mitts comes initially from the gorgeous textures and colours of yarns… painting with wool! As an experienced knitter and as an artist herself her designs always keep in mind the practical attributes of the different styles she creates. Sian’s yarns are chosen with eco-friendliness very much in mind. Many of Siân’s fingerless gloves start with a delve through her stash of oddments left over from previous knitting projects, combining colours and textures into charming designs that evolve as she knits. Each delightful pair is genuinely unique!

SIZE The mittens are designed to fit an average ladies hand. Knitted fabrics are both snug and stretchy in nature, easily adapting to a variety of hand shapes and sizes, providing a comfortable and snug fit for everyone.

YARN These mitts were made using a DK (double knit) weight yarn. This means they will be light enough to wear indoors in a chilly studio, and cosy enough for a comfortable sketching session en plein air.

COLOUR The design features mid-grey and bright, cheerful red stripes. There is a change of colour change along the length of the yarn, creating unpredictable stripes. No two stripes will ever be the same, ensuring each mitten is truly unique. (Please note that the actual colour of the gloves may differ for their appearance on screen)

CARE INSTRUCTIONS Treat as pure wool. Gently hand wash in cool water. Do not wring. Re-shape while damp. Dry flat. Do not tumble dry.
